From early adulthood to middle adulthood, the emotions that people feel are heavier than the adolescent stage because this is where they experience love and eventually get married. They have more problems about their families and work. These are also the stages where they need to work not just for themselves but also for their family, spouse or children. It is also when they undergo menopausal and andropausal stages. Basically during these crucial stages, the person undergoes drastic changes not only biologically, but also mentally and emotionally. Also, moral changes begin to take shape such as having a moral high ground since the person has reached an age wherein he/she is expected to act accordingly. With regards to the socio-emotional development, people are exposed to more social situations that enable them to learn how to deal with these encounters. Such examples would be when a person breaks up with a partner. He learns how to deal with it and what to do when this happens. It also teaches the person to be more mature about it and think rationally rather than act impulsively. Lastly, physical developments are the most highly noticeable during this stage. Men usually develop more hair in various parts of the body, and women develop secondary sex characteristics such as breasts and larger hips.
